Cowboy Kenny Goes to Kenya

In January 2003, I visited Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa, and a huge Maasai tribal cattle ranch between Mount Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills. I had a great time, although I'm not sure the Maasai tribeswoman pictured here quite knew what to make of this strange American. (I should point out that a few seconds after this picture was taken, she composed herself admirably and posed for a much better portraint. She is the craftswoman who created the necklace and armband I am wearing.)
